Human Trafficking & the COVID Pandemic

Increased economic strain due to social distancing efforts will put many people at greater risk of sex and labor trafficking/exploitation. Health systems are in a position to prevent and respond to trafficking in this new environment. This handout, developed by HEAL Trafficking and the Greater New Orleans Human Trafficking Task Force with support from the McNulty Foundation, provides clear guidance to healthcare providers and public health professionals on how to engage in trafficking prevention efforts during the COVID pandemic.
