NetCE: CME on Human Trafficking and Exploitation
This course encompasses a basic overview of human trafficking. The course will attempt to provide practitioners with a glimpse of the realities of human trafficking victims’ lives and the physical, psychological, social, and sexual abuse they experience. Specific interventions and responses are covered, including mental health, social services, educational, prevention, and legal efforts. Finally, for practitioners who do work with human trafficking victims, the emotional toll that it takes upon practitioners will be discussed. The course ends with an array of resources, including organizations/agencies, books, and films/documentaries focusing on the issue of human trafficking.
